Is there Outside Activities or Field Trips?
We have a Weather Alert Radio on site and we never take campers outside if the heat index is Code Orange, Code Red, etc. This camp is not a sports camp but we do have a rotation each day of Physical Activity. Most games are not very strenuous and are optional if a camper does not feel well enough to participate. On nice days we make a point to get outside in the fresh air not only in the Physical Rotation but also in others like Reading, Rehearsing, or even board games like Chess. All camp activities are on site. We have too much on our agenda to go to the pool or similar diversions.
