Is there native LaTeX support built-in?
Writer does have support for LaTeX, and this is typically useful for the scientific community, where formulas are utilised. A Java utility called Writer2LaTeX has been created for the purpose. It outputs .sxw (OpenOffice.org Writer files) to LaTeX 2e or XHTML 1.0 + MathML 1.01 and CSS2. If given a LaTeX file, and there is a need to edit it in OOo Writer, the usage of LaTeX2rtf may come in handy.
