Hello, I am interested in becoming a psychiatric nurse practitioner and have been reading this site. I have a question about salary – I live in Massachusetts and from what I’ve read, one can expect to start out at $80-100,000 (do I have this right)? My question is, does that pretty much stay the same, or does it increase significantly with time and experience? I had previously thought about pursuing a law degree, where associates in a firm can expect a good increase in pay every few years, so I’m wondering if this field is similar.
