Is there luxury bus service from Monterey to San Miguel?
Answer Karen, Since I’m traveling and am not in San Miguel at the moment, I can’t give you a definitive answer. But I can point you in the right direction. There are very few of the luxury-level “ejecutivo” buses directly in and out of San Miguel. You will almost certainly have to travel to Queretaro, less than an hour from SMA, then get another bus from there or take a taxi. The taxi will be $30-40 but it will take you right to your door in SMA, saving you the taxi fare on that end. Estrella Blanca has an executive class bus from Monterrey to Queretaro. The fare is about $65. There seems to be one departure a day. ETN Bus Lines have four departures a day on a “de lujo” service from Monterrey to Queretaro. Fare about $60. No direct service to SMA. Omnibus de Mexico has a “Primera” bus, which is first class rather than deluxe or executive class, from Monterrey to SMA. Hope this info helps.
