Is there good dining in Playa del Carmen?
Dont take our word for fine diningget out and explore. Dining out is a major part of the nightlife. La Quinta (5th Avenue) is eclectic and you will find something to satify your palette. There are several excellent restaurants along and around this pretty pedestrian street. Of course, being in the Caribbean, the beach is also a great place to have lunch or dinner. The Mexican experience is further enhanced by small groups of mariachis or other musicians entertaining you while you eat in many restaurants. To be totally safe, DO NOT eat food\fruit prepared and sold by street vendors. However, do not be afraid to try smaller places. The quality of food does not depend on the price and safe water and ice is used everywhere.
