Even though the series has become a big success, the producer of the Pirates of Caribbean movies says it’s unlikely that there will be a fourth installment any time soon. Why? Because Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End neatly ties up the trilogy, and, besides, the film’s crew is exhausted and needs some time off. “[Director] Gore [Verbinski] just finished the picture about four days ago, so he’d like to reacquaint himself with his family…It’s been five and half years, so we’re all going to take a little rest,” producer Jerry Bruckheimer said Wednesday at a press conference in Tokyo ahead of the movie’s Asia premiere. “This third film is representing the end of the era for pirates themselves, but also for this style of filmmaking,” Verbinski said.
