Is there going to be a remake of Final Fantasy 7?
Hi Holly, I wish there were but Square Enix have currently stated there won’t be. However I wouldn’t give up hope, some of the Final Fantasy XIII staff seemed keen on the idea once FFXIII was out of the way so again, I am afraid it is a maybe, but officially no. Even if the game was to be revamped though, you are looking at a good 3 or four years down the line and that is without production starting. They may do it for the 25th anniversary though, that wouldn’t surprise me. anyway long story short, the answer is currently no but keep an eye out from time to time.
