Is there funding available for home modifications?
The ADRC does have plans that assist with building ramps for individuals who need easier access in and out of their home. Family members, friends, and volunteers often times are able to mount grab bars and handrails. Rebuilding Together may be able to assist low income elderly and disabled clients with home modifications on a limited basis, including walk in showers. Some funding may be available through high cost funds from the state for individuals receiving services through the Community Options Program or Family Care.
