Is there financial assistance provided to help care for the child placed in my home?
Prospective foster parents should view their involvement as a philanthropic contribution for abused and neglected children to become a healthier generation. Childhelp reimburses parents who foster children placed in their homes. The reimbursement amount is determined based on the individual child’s needs and behaviors. In addition to the reimbursement rate, each child is provided medical insurance and may also qualify for additional financial aid. These monies are to assist with the cost of caring for a foster child, such as: food, utilities, transportation, clothing, personal care products, extra curricular activities, etc. Please contact your local Childhelp Regional office for a range of reimbursement rates.
