Is there enough wind in Manistee and Benzie counties to support a major wind power project?
It is important to note that there are only a handful of areas in Michigan that have the wind resources available for large scale wind energy production. Manistee and Benzie counties were named by the State of Michigan Wind Energy Resource Board as one of the top four areas in Michigan for a land-based wind energy project.
