Is there discrimination against black Muslims in America?

0

Actually, the irony is that discrimination against black Muslims is not that much. You have to understand the nature of the time in which you live. It is a discrimination against the Muslims and it is not because we are black. There was another issue, the black struggle, the civil rights movement in this country headed by people like Martin Luther King Jr., Malcom X but by now alhamdulillah, we have a black man running for our president in the United States of America. So there is some racism that still exists in parts of America but by large that has changed. We have had people like Colin Powell and Condeliza Rice and other numbers of African-Americans who have gotten to high positions. So the issue right now is this kind of fear of Islam and Muslims and this kind of fear against immigrants. So up until recently there have been more attacks against immigrant Arabs, Pakistanis. Here is interesting because African-Americans by large have been accepted in this country throughout the year
