Is there commercial air service into Seaside?
Not currently. There is on-demand charter service into Astoria, 10 miles to the north, but at present Seaside is primarily accesible only by private aircraft. You may be able to arrange a flight through a charter service such as Flightcraft or Hillsboro Aviation. Are there any good places to eat close by? Absolutely! There are frequently planes transitioning up and down the coastline at or near pattern altitude, at all times of the year. 3 miles north of Seaside, there’s a tethered para-sailing operation that operates up to 3000′ altutude over the beach during the summer monthhs. There is a helicopter tour operator operating in the area. So stay alert, and announce your position and intentions on the CTAF (122.9) when you’re in the area.
