Torrevieja is nice-it’s about an hours drive away,or there is a little town called Villajoyosa which is quite close to Benidorm which is a sweet place-very quiet but pretty,and only about 15 mins away from Benidorm.Alicante is nice too-busier than the other 2 I mentioned but not as ‘lively’ as Benidorm. I’ve been to Benidorm a few times (for various reasons both in & out of season) and completely agree with you-it is full of football shirt wearing,lager swilling Brits and to be honest you might as well stay at home because it’s like ‘Little Britain’ there just with a bit of sun-horrible,dirty place!
