Is there anyway to remove the grout from the tile serface?
Answer Hello and thank you for contacting The Grout Dye Company in NY. If you had grout put over grout, you might eventually have more problems down the road then grout residual on your tile. Grout does not bond to old grout, and while it might look good for now, it’s only a matter of time until that make over washes away. I would recommend usually a light acid wash to remove grout residual from tiles but in this case it could ruin the grout makeover. So try using white vinegar, to remove the grout haze.
