Tracks Santa is a service offered by the “North American Aerospace Defense Command” through which it’s easy to track Santa. NORAD offers this service every year on Christmas Eve to locate Santa as he leaves the North Pole. A Colorado Springs-based Sears store advertised and encouraged people to call Santa on a special kind of telephone hot line but by mistake the number which was printed on it actually was the hot line for Continental Air Defense Command . Then-Colonel Harry Shoup received calls on Christmas Eve of they were surprised and they asked a caller’s mother and came to know the mistake which had occurred. But they decided to provide the location to every single child who called in. Three years later, government of the United States and Canada combined their respective national domestic air defenses into the North American Aerospace Defense Command and start helping people in tracking Santa on Christmas Eve.
