Is there anyway of converting bin/cue files to avi files via freeware?

no, not directly. a bin/cue file is basically a universal container holding many files or even one. but assuming their is a video file in the bin + cue files then you can extract the movie and convert it if they are in a video file format such as mpeg, divx, vob, etc. so an example is you have a bin file of a game/movie you want to get the video of it. you would have to open the bin/cue file using nero/isobuster/120alcohol etc. find the file which contains the movie you are looking for and extract it using the programs tools, (isobuster is good for extracting files from bin files) after you have the file you want, you can easily find freeware from the net to convert your movie file into avi.
