No, I’m afraid you won’t be able to use the Hawking Extender as a router. The ethernet port is there to provide setup access. You use it to set the extender to receive the signal from another access point. It is this signal the extender re-transmits to extend the range of the wireless signal. It will only allow you to set the Access Point, SSID, IP address and channel.
