If they are well fed and are still eating your plants then I’m afraid there isn’t much you can do. My apple snails do not eat my plants, but the term “apple snail” refers to a huge variety of species. Some apple snails will starve to death in the middle of a forest of live plants because they only eat dead plants, and others will decimate your live plants. The only thing I can suggest is giving them something so tasty they will leave your plants alone. Mine go absolutely nuts for slices of cucumber and carrot. The carrot I slice and pop in the microwave for 60 seconds to soften it for them. The great thing about carrots, aside from the fact that they think it’s the tastiest food known to snails, is that it sinks and you don’t have to weigh it down with anything. Try giving them a constant supply of really tasty veggies and see if they will leave your plants alone.
