Is there anything to do in Napa for Thanksgiving?
The Napa Valley has some very nice (and expensive) restaurants. In fact Napa Valley (not the city of Napa itself but St. Helena, Yountville, even Sonoma, which is not actually in the Napa Valley) has spawned its own whole genre of cuisine. I bet some of these places do a very nice Thanksgiving dinner. Maybe the dining room of a historic hotel or famous resort. You can visit the home of Jack London in Glen Ellen, or the Old Bale Mill (a restored grist mill), or the Greystone Building in St. Helena which used to be a winery but now houses the Culinary Institute of America. You can drive up Rte. 128 through the Anderson Valley and the Redwoods to Mendocino for some fancy shopping and beautiful ocean views.
