Is there anything the pet owner can do to make the pet care run smoothly?
No one knows your pets like you do. I encourage clients to begin writing down little bits of information about their pets as they think of things. Also in the rush and excitement of getting ready to leave, it is easy to forget to tell the sitter some important point. By committing ideas to paper, it makes the transition in pet care much easier. It is also handy if the owner places pet supplies and cleaning supplies (just in case!) in a centralized location. Finally, if your pets are not crated, please be sure to safegaurd your pet from any potential hazards (i.e. things they might chew on, choke on, or swallow).
