My OB allowed me to take any Tylenol product except for the kind that caused drowsiness. You can also take straight-up Sudafed and Robutussin (NOT the DM kind, just the plain kind). I tried all of these things for a cold I had a week ago. The cold turned into bronchitis and a severe sinus infection. I ended up at the doctor yesterday and they prescribed an antibiotic. I agree with previous posts, ALWAYS call you OB before you take anything just to be safe. Something that I have been doing that really helps (although it’s kind of gross,but it’s totally safe) is to do a nasal wash using a neti pot. It looks like a little teapot that you fill with water and saline a powder solution and stick the spout in one nostril, tilt your head and dump the solution in there. It will drain out the other nostril and take all the gunk with it. Gross, I know, but it totally works.
