Is there anything I can download to make my computer play Blue-Ray Movies?
Blu-ray is one type of High Definition video disk. The other is an HD DVD disk. They both require special DVD players and are NOT compatible with each other or with traditional DVD players, as the technology to play them is different. Multiple type players are available but (due to cost) did NOT come with your computer. A Blu-ray DVD player can play a standard DVD but!!! To play a Blu-ray disk you MUST have a DVD player that plays Blu -ray disks, it will say so on the box. They are NOT cheap. There is NO software that will convert a regular DVD player to a Blu Ray player. It is a hardware issue and not a software one.
