Is there anything i can do so that my Electric yellow cichlid doesnt eat my neon?
Here’s a solution for you, if you don’t want to put them in a separate tank, you can go to your local pet store and by a separater. This piece fits inside of your tank and it can actually divide the space of the tank between your aggressive and non aggressive fish to avoid any casualties. You will be able to have all the fish in one tank, but the only thing is that your cichlid and your neons and other fish you may have will have less swimming space. They created the dividers or separaters for this type of reason along with raising baby fish to avoid the smaller fish from being eaten by the bigger fish. You can also have hiding places, but that’s not really effective because all the cichlid has to do is wait by the hiding places, and when the small fish comes out, the cichlid will try to eat them. So the two possible answers is either put them in another tank, or you can purchase a separater from a pet shop. I hope that this helps, thanks for asking…………
