CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Some shoppers began camping out at Best Buy in Northeast Charlotte at 9 a.m. Thursday. The store will not open its doors until 5 a.m. Friday. Concord Mills will open its doors to early bird shoppers at 11:30 p.m. Thursday. The stores will open at midnight, and mall officials expect the parking lot to be full. Some shoppers in Charlotte decided to get a jump start on their shopping. Several retail stores including Old Navy, Big Lots and Walmart were open Thanksgiving Day. Shoppers like Chuck Stinson hit the stores Thursday afternoon to snag a good deal. “The kids need some jeans. My mother-in-law wants a clock radio and we’re going to pick it up,” Stinson said. Other shoppers were scouting out the deals, planning their black Friday attack. “I get my mind focused first so when I come in I know exactly what I’m going to get,” said Kwandwo Saka. “Times are hard. Everybody is trying to take advantage of what’s good out there, so I think it’s going to be crazy,” said Stins
