Hopefully you don’t already have a spawn that’s hungry NOW! Betta fry don’t need to eat for the first few days, because they’re absorbing their yolk sac. After that, they can eat infusoria, microworms or baby brine shrimp. Most pet stores have brine shrimp eggs for sale and they can hatch in 12-24 hours. In a pinch you can boil an egg, and pulverize a *very* tiny piece between your fingers and swish that into the water. That’s what all the Thai breeders do, but be aware that it’s really easy to foul the water that way, so be ready with your little siphon tube. I have a spawn of bettas now, and I feel like all I do is feed them and change their dydies…. 😉 Best food is newly hatched brine shrimp, which is really easy to do. Feed them until they’re stuffed several times a day, and do voluminous water changes. Get some brine shrimp going, and you can wean them off that after about a month.
