Yes, you may manually override the cleaning process by pushing the pH button on the unit. This will cancel the cleaning mode and immediately return the unit to regular Ionization mode. But the music plays as a safety precaution warning you not to drink the water while the unit is cleaning because acid water should never be consumed.
