I have always had this problem with my Maine Coon. He flicks most of the paste off his paw, then refuses to wash and hides in a linty corner of the closet and it get all nasty until he needs a full bath I recently started putting a pea sized amount on his nose, or just under on his fuzzy poofy cheeks and he really has no choice but to lick it off. I have to apply it a couple times to get him to eat his full dosage, but it does work. He hates me, but it works lol. I also give him a bit of canned pumpkin mixed with water from a can of tuna. That helps keep things moving along just as good as the paste, just make sure if you try it that you get the pumpkin without the spices! Good luck Schelli!
