Is there any way to get a true double bass experience when using a RB drum kit?
Yes, available now at Gamestop’s is an officially licensed splitter and second bass pedal for RB 1 and 2 drum kits. This pedal is from PDP. Harmonix has acknowledged that this pedal and splitter is real and licensed on the Rock Band official forums. When you use this splitter you can connect 2 pedals to the RB drum kits for a true double bass experience. You can also purchase an Omega Twin Rocker for RB drum kits too that will allow for an official double bass experience. When using the PDP adapter, you can use a GH: WT kick pedal and it will function fully. Note that with any of these RB splitters, the Ion Drum Rocker pedal will not function (at all) regardless of configuration.
