Interestingly, there is some research on melatonin in type 2 diabetes, and taking a supplement may help lower morning blood sugars. It’s easy to buy as a supplement, and you can try that. Also, drinking a glass of wine in the evenings may lower morning values as well (if you’re willing to do that).
