Is there any way to become a wizard/witch and to practice magic?
Magick is about focusing the will. There are many books about spellcraft, which is one way of focusing the will. But to focus the will without developing self-awareness is a recipe for disaster. So is doing magick without physically acting in accordance, i.e., if you want money. GET A JOB, and use magick to help you get a BETTER job. Start small. There’s a wonderful exercise in Gareth Knight’s Occult Exercises and Practices, which I used to do when feeling depressed or stuck: pick a spot on the far wall and go to it and touch it. Turn around, pick a spot on the other wall and do it again. Repeat as necessary until you know you can will little things, then will that the dishes be done, or whatever. I spent 25 years as a Wiccan and decided it was not an effective system for personal growth, and that magick for physical things was largely a waste of time.
