Tagged As: Fender Squire Stratocaster Question: Is there any way possible to place a whammy bar onto my Fender Squire Stratocaster? I don’t see a place where I could put one, so is there an adapter maybe? In my opinion, I don’t think it’s totally possible, but I just want to make sure. Answer: It sounds like your Squier Strat was built as a hardtail. A skillful luthier could convert it to a standard (vibrato tailpiece) Strat, but on a Squier, frankly, it isn’t worth it. Much better to save some money, get what you can in trade for the Squier, and get a Mexi Strat.
