Is there any way of cleaning black mould off silicone bathroom sealant?
Hi Last week I bought a product from the Lakeland shop called ‘HG Mould spray’ by HG International. It states on the box ‘ HG mould spray immediately destroys fungus, algae and moss in damp places, inside and outside. For cleaning tiled walls and grouting in the bathroom, shower, toilet, kitchen, cellar, basement, sauna, swimming pool (if we are lucky enough to have one), garage, shed etc. It cleans also facades, balconies, plant boxes, garden ornaments etc. HG mould spray bleaches grey and black mould spots and green algae.’ I tried it on Saturday in the bathroom around the bottom tiles and silicone and the mould has definitely faded with the grouting looking whiter. It does recommend that you may have to repeat the process and not to leave the spray longer than 30mins on silicone (as it could turn brown, also tells you how to rectify it) I actually forgot and left it on for well over an hour and it seems fine.
