Is there any way my wife can convince her consultant to induce her labour early?
As others have said – ask. If your consultant is aware of the previous situations and her current condition is likely to be sympathetic to her plight. Unless he has a sound medical reason to do so I doubt he’ll let her go indefinitely. In fact I’m very surprised that they didnt schedule a section already if she’s in such agony (if the SPD is so bad she might not be able to give birth naturally, especially if she wants pain relief) basically you need to tell your consultant what you’ve told us. He should take her bi polar in to account if nothing else.
