Is there any subliminal imagery included in Sailor Moon?
Some Sailor Moon episodes do contain subliminal imagery. For example, when you stop-action on Usagi’s transformation in the first season, you will find that the twinkle in the tiara’s jewel is actually made up of several brief images, including Usagi herself, Sailor Venus, and the moon princess battling Queen Beryl. In episode # 9 (Usagi’s Misfortune! Beware of the rushing clock.), on Ami’s computer screen, which says prime directives, 3 messages are seen later: Serve the public trust, Protect the innocent, and Uphold the law.
