This was selected as Best Answer Hi Linda, I think that all of the previous answers have given good advice but I would just like to add my thoughts. ‘Any’ environment can be unfriendly for learning if the content, the interaction and the delivery method are not right. In the face to face classroom some will not benefit as much as others and exactly the same applies when teaching online. As has previously been mentioned you need to cater to the differing needs of individuals and offer, where possible, the choice. Concentrating on online delivery some people respond best to the ‘live’ environment where they are being taught by a respected person and where questions that arise can be dealt with during the session. Others are too time poor and prefer to learn in their own time and don’t require the live interaction with the trainer so an on demand version of the training is more suitable and this should cater for different learning styles, ideally online but on demand, offline as downloada
