Is there any specific group who has a better chance under the General Skilled Migration program?
All persons who meet the required Pass Marks will have a good chance. The following groups are likely to be able to meet the Pass Marks and hence have a good chance to qualify under the General Skilled Migration program. • Professionals such as Accountants, IT Professionals, Nurses, Engineers, Architects, Lawyers, Doctors, and General Managers; or • Tradesperson such as Hairdressers, Automotive Mechanic, Aircraft Maintenance Engineers, Electricians, Plumbers, Chefs and a long list of trades; or • Those with Relatives who are Australian citizens or Permanent Residents; or • Those who are willing to live and work in a Regional Area. (Regional Area refers to all areas except cities and metropolitan areas of Sydney, Newcastle, NSW Central Coast and Wollongong, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Melbourne and Perth.
