Yes. Though not necessary for weather resistance, flies are used when special colours and/or camoflage are required. Flies also reduce the thermal signature of the shelter in military applications. Is it possible for me to roll things in and out of the shelter or will the door sill be damaged? The doorsill exists for the door to close against. It can be folded under the shelter floor if required. What happens to the floor of the shelter if it’s placed on someone’s lawn and they drive a car in? Nothing, the floor can handle a car on concrete, grass field or sand, any surface on which you can drive a car. I would draw the line at deep or rutted mud. Is the shelter waterproof?
