There is no laboratory test to diagnose rosacea. Physicians diagnose rosacea by taking a careful history and examining the skin and sometimes the eyes. Doctors will sometimes order blood or breath tests to screen for the H. Pylori bacteria which some believe is associated with rosacea. Other practitioners might order blood tests in order to diagnose other conditions that may look like rosacea.
