Is there any significant difference between right freom wrong?
I think that people choose to do things that benefit them in some way. We raise our children in the way we think will most benefit them throughout their lives. This usually includes religious belief indoctination and social and community norms we think will keep them protected and safe. I think that these norms do allow for a mostly safe and long life. Whether the things we teach our children to do are right or wrong or not is all relative. Is it right for citizens of the U.S. to use more of the Earth’s resources than people in other parts of the world? Why are we special? Is it right for wealthy people to have access to better and more education than poor people? Is it right for some people to have the freedom to choose what career they want, where they want to live, who they want to marry and for others to be denied these rights? People make choices every second of their lives and most of these involve giving or taking. Each bite of food you put in your mouth is TAKEN from somewhere
The only difference between right and wrong is what you as a person perceives. What is wrong for one person is right for another. What is right for one person is wrong for another. There is nothing in the world that EVERYONE agrees with or disagrees with. Many would say what is right is doing what is moral and acceptable. Terrorist thought it was acceptable bomb New York. Again, it is all about what you have been told to believe, and thus what you perceive…Literally belief is power, and belief itself can change the physiological structure of your brain. What is right and wrong is different for every person. Ask a Nazi during World War II and what Hitler was doing was right, Ask an American during this time and what he was doing was wrong. So which is it? The answer is both and neither, it depends on who you ask!! It upsets me greatly the amount of religious bigotry in the world, the one thing you should attempt to learn in your life is that the will never be a time when everyone agre
