Is there any significance in PEER Servants use of the term “Partners”?

PEER stands Partnerships for Economic Empowerment and Renewal. PEER Servants works only through partnerships! Our partners are autonomous micro finance institutions (MFIs) led by very committed and competent Christian board and staff members from within the country in which they are legally domiciled. Currently we partner with eleven MFI’s in Africa (Nigeria, South Africa, and Uganda), Asia (Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam), Eastern Europe (Moldova), Latin America (Brazil, Mexico, and Peru), and the Caribbean (Haiti). PEER Servants strongly believes that relationships with MFI’s in so-called developing countries should be relationships of equals. We provide support as requested by the MFI, and while we do provide significant guidance, particularly where we see areas that can be improved, the relationship is always intended to be one of independent organizations who are working together for a common purpose.
