Apply to grad school and make this your dissertation topic. On one hand, people who abbreviate words might do so because they can’t spell those words. If they can’t spell those words, you might deduce that they have lower IQs than people who can spell those same words. But, of course, not all bad spellers have low IQs. On the other hand, people who abbreviate words while texting might have a higher IQ because they are being more efficient. People with lower IQs are usually less efficient (not always true, of course). Screw it…..there is no correlation between the two.
