Is there any risk of contamination by computer viruses on the backup server?

0

No. A virus is nothing more than a computer program which has to be executed. Since the data is compressed and encrypted prior to being transferred to the backup server any virus would technically be “frozen”. Our server is thus immune to viruses in the client data.
