Is there any relationship between the magical realism of Gabos work and flamenco?
They have a lot in common in terms of magic, not so much in terms of realism. Flamenco is magical, it’s tricky. It’s like a crystal ball, you have a look and it strums your heart strings and stands your hair on end. Flamenco is magical, it’s tricky. Realism exists all around us, magic is what you have to try and grasp now and again to make art. No less than 35 albums and 50 years of career. Looking back, how was it? and I still have some voice, mind you. I am happy with what I’ve done. Some things have turned out better than others. But I did it all with dignity.
