Yes, almost certainly. The interest in this campaign has been extraordinarily high. Even a year ago, when I interviewed voters, they were interested in the campaign and concerned about the country’s direction. The experts on turnout predict it will be higher than it’s been since 1992, which was also an election with high interest (not to mention one in which two of the three contenders came from Texas). It’s even possible it will be the highest since 1960, a high water mark.
