Short Answer: Yes, it slows down the cast speeds, lowers the range and costs more Sap Full Answer: Medium and Heavy Armour have a stat called Mallus. The more Mallus you have the more your actions will be penalised. In the case of magic it slows down the cast speed, reduces spell range, and makes the spells cost more in Sap and HP. Mallus even affects the Stamina and HP spent in melee combat but in this case the benefits generally outweigh the penalties. The most sensible thing is to cast in Light Armour or if you think you will be getting beat up, then maybe Medium Armour. It’s also possible to wear a mixture of armour such as a medium vest with light armour or a heavy helmet. Is there PvP here? Short Answer: Yes, consensual Full Answer: There are many levels of PvP.
