Is there any point of buying a stability ball (exercise ball)…?
The exercise ball will be one of your best investments yet. You can use it to replace a bench when doing presses, flyes, or reverse flyes with the dumbells. Use it to lean on when doing a one arm dumbell row to add a dynamic component to your dumbell exericses and aid scapular and spinal stability. Sitting on it to do overhead presses also recruits more muscles than just sitting on a stool. Then of course there are the obvious exercises you can do on it such as crunches, bridging, plank, etc. They’re so inexpensive now you can buy them at Walmart cheap, or if you’re heavier or lifting heavy dumbells perhaps go to a fitness shop to get something more durable. Here’s a great website that will explain all the benefits of exercising with a ball as well as give you suggestions of exercises and advice on sizing. You can add the dumbells to some of the upper extremity exercises to make them more difficult. http://www.exercise-bal
