Is there any place the mom of a teenage rape victim can go for support &/or help?
Yes. I’m so sorry for what you are going through! As a parent of a rape victim you need and deserve just as much help as your daughter does. Fortunately, you may have several options. Rape crisis centers may offer support groups or even individual counseling sessions. Mental health centers can also provide counseling and the Department of Social Services may too. (Check with the department who handles child sexual abuse.) Don’t overlook your pastor. He or she may be a potential resource for you.
