Is there any particular case allocation system before the civil courts in the Czech Republic?

The cases are allocated according to competence rules as set by the CPC. The rules of subject matter competence point out district courts as general courts of first instance for most of the cases. Regional courts act as courts of first instance only in specific cases, in particular for administrative, labour and more important commercial cases. The rules of local competence set a general rule according to which competent is the defendant’s general court, i.e. the court in the district where the defendant’s domicile is located or, in commercial issues, where the defendant’s registered office or place of business is located.
