Is there any other evidence (in science) that the big bang theory is incorrect?

First things first… Let’s first look at what the Big Bang theory really states: “Our universe began in a hot dense state which began, and still is expanding. In this initial event, all the matter in our universe was created with approximately 80% hydrogen and 20% helium.” There was no rotation of any dot or any explosion of any kind. The term “Big Bang” was originally given to the theory (originally called “primeval atom”) by Fred Hoyle on a radio program in which he was mocking the theory. However, the misnomer stuck and has been causing confusion ever since. Now, as far as the evidence is concerned, I have no idea where people get the idea that scientists make things up without having good evidence behind it (oh wait… we’re out to disprove God because all scientists hate God or some crap like that). The Big Bang theory does have a good amount of evidence behind it. So we’ll take a look at the three biggies. a) Cosmological Redshift: As I explained in my earlier post, we can use spe

If you’re looking for evidence of the big bang theory, try reading about the Doppler effect. Simply put, it’s how light from a moving object gets distorted, depending on whether the object is moving away or moving towards you. Moving away results to a red shift (lengthening of light waves, shifting them towards the red part of the spectrum). Since we observe distant objects in space because of light it gives out, the quality of the light from these objects therefore could give us a clue if they are moving away from each other or not. I hope i have pointed you in the right direction.

Current theory is that that it arose out of a “vacuum fluctuation” (there is no space here to explain that), literally from nowhere, and that there are in fact an inffinite number of universe. The term big bang was coined by an amercan (GWIZ) and it is hardly apprpriate any more or ever was. Inflation theory (which is now accepted by almost all cosmologists and physists) shows that something the size of a molecule (rather smaller than a a period dot) can expand into something the size of a galaxy in 10 (to the minus 35th power) of a second. The big bang theory fell into a evised theory over 30 years ago (inflation etc), so I suggest you read the latest on cosmology as the theories you refer to are no longer relevant. Therefore in answer to your question, I must state that the clasic big-bang theory of the middle 20th century was rendered incorrect a long time ago by such things as spontaneous symmetry breaking, amongst other things.
