good luck.. it depends what you can afford, if you are planning on doing casual work in Albufeira, your best bet is to make friends with established workers, most will help you out, very few jobs have accommodation with the job, cos accommodation is premium, however if you can tie yourself into a contracted apartment which you will guarentee to rent throughout the winter months you may find a reasonable deal, if it is short term through the summer season …well that is VERY difficult, like I said make the established workers your friends, and of course the Portuguese themselves if you make a friend out of them they will help you to the best that they can… if you are stuck try camping Albufeira and try and do a deal on a caravan.. its out of town though so a car would be helpful…
